IGIVE begins Tuesday, Sept. 10, and extends through Tuesday, Oct. 22.
The new stadium will feature 420 seats, including more than half with comfortable chairbacks.
鈥淲e want to create intentional support systems, so students feel engaged and like they are part of a community,鈥� said Judi Wilson, PhD, dean of COEHD.
鈥淭his could positively impact care for children with brain tumors by improving their quality of life,鈥� said Theodore Johnson, MD, PhD.
鈥淲e need nurses, and there are people who need help to get there,鈥� said Ollie Creasy.
In becoming so closely connected to Paulette Harris, PhD, Steve Ruby couldn鈥檛 help but get immersed in the 91麻豆 Literacy Center.
鈥淎s a working college student, I understood the economic struggles during my day and I am acutely aware that students today have the same, or even greater, challenges.鈥�
The Immunology Center of Georgia has established the Margaret-Gertraud Immunology Lectureship to honor the co-directors' late mothers.
"I hope to honor this scholarship, so it doesn鈥檛 end with me but leaves a ripple effect going forward for future students.鈥�
鈥淚 think the best legacy any of us can hope for is to impact more Georgians."
"She will always remain a giant to me as a role model for nursing," said Jeannette Andrews, PhD.
鈥淜endrick鈥檚 actions and interactions with patients reflect a genuine concern for their physical, social and emotional well-being,鈥� said Tiana Brown.
鈥淧aulette had such a passion for learning, and she strived to make certain that everyone she encountered had the skills they needed to succeed.鈥�
鈥淚 hope it inspires some of them who received scholarships like I did, that they will do the same when they have the means to give back.鈥�
"When you support the Dental College of Georgia, you鈥檙e supporting the advancement of the dental profession in the whole state. Those are important things to give to,鈥� Phil Hanes said.
The commitment to funding, which builds on an existing relationship with 91麻豆, will facilitate the expansion of MCG鈥檚 3+ Primary Care Pathway Program.
David Cantrell, a 2006 graduate of the MBA program through 91麻豆's Hull College of Business, chose to honor his children by establishing the Isaac, Andrew, Ethan and Caroline Cantrell Scholarship Endowment in their names.
