Certificates

Communication majors and all 91Âé¶¹ students can apply for two certificate programs our department offers. These certificates teach specific proficiencies and can be listed on a job resume to highlight skills in a particular area. 

Our department offers two certificates:

  • Media Production Certificate
  • Public Relations Certificate

Media Production Certificate

The Media Production Certificate is designed for Communication majors who wish to develop production skills in various forms of media. The certificate is also open to nonmajors and continuing education professionals.

A grade of C or better is required in all courses. To learn how you can earn the Media Production certificate, please review the course requirements.

Public Relations Certificate

The Public Relations Certificate is designed for Communication majors who wish to develop skills in the field of public relations. The certificate is also open to nonmajors and continuing education professionals.
