Access to Greenblatt Library Historical Collections & Archives and Reese Library Special Collections on Wednesday, December 24 and Friday, January 2, 2026 will be available by appointment only.

The 91Âé¶¹ Special Collections and Archives collect, maintain, and make accessible primary sources and other research materials relating to 91Âé¶¹, the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA), 91Âé¶¹ and more. With locations on the Health Science and Summerville campuses, we are committed to delivering quality service in support of historical and institutional research for the University and broader community.

Located on the second floor of the Robert B. Greenblatt, M.D. Library the Historical
Collections and Archives houses materials relating to the 91Âé¶¹ Health
Sciences Campus, and the history of the health sciences, including the history of
medicine, nursing, dentistry, and allied health sciences.

Located on the third floor of Reese Library, the Special Collections and Institutional
Archives houses materials relating to the 91Âé¶¹ Summerville Campus, the
history of 91Âé¶¹, the broader Central Savannah River Area (CSRA), and the South.
In partnership with the 91Âé¶¹ Historical Society (AHS), patrons are also able to
search for and access materials owned by the historical society at the Reese Library
reading room.
