Our student organizations offer ways for you to get involved in volunteer opportunities, social events, cultural projects, outreach, and fundraisers. They provide networking, education, entertainment, and a sense of community outside of class. Each organization provides its own unique perspective and opportunities.


Aesthetic & Cosmetic Dentistry Club (ACDC) at 91Âé¶¹

Our purpose is to support the students and compliment the curriculum in their understanding and proficiency in the field of aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry. We aim to host events that help students grow in their knowledge, skills, and clinical practices. By bringing in renowned guest speakers, hands-on experiences, and networking opportunities, we aim to cultivate a passion for, promote excellence, and prepare students to deliver exceptional patient care in the realm of aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry. Our club hopes to empower students not only as skilled clinicians but also as future business owners, preparing them for success beyond dental school. This organization strives to support professional growth and contribute to our members long-term success as well-rounded dental professionals.

American Association of Public Health Dentistry (AAPHD) at 91Âé¶¹

The at 91Âé¶¹ provides a focus for meeting the challenge to improve oral health. We aim to provide leadership in ensuring optimal oral health for individuals and communities through the development and support of effective programs of oral health promotion and disease prevention. American Student Dental Association (ASDA) at 91Âé¶¹

The is a national student-run organization that protects and advances the rights, interests and welfare of dental students. It introduces students to lifelong involvement in organized dentistry and provides services, information, education, representation and advocacy. Here at 91Âé¶¹, ASDA hosts numerous events throughout the school year, such as the Welcome Back Party, Table Clinic Day, the Talent show, and as well as numerous lunch and learns and social functions. Every dental student at 91Âé¶¹ is an ASDA member, eligible for both national and local ASDA benefits. As an ASDA member, we benefit from being members of both the GDA and ADA. Christian Medical & Dental Associations (CMDA) at 91Âé¶¹

The purpose of the AUDental Fellowship, a chapter of the Christian Medical & Dental Associations, is to motivate, educate and equip Christian medical and dental students, and allied health care students to gain mutual strength, skills, encouragement, and blessing; and to be a winsome witness of God our Father and our Savior Jesus Christ to the students, faculty and staff on our campus, in our community and around the world.

Dental Multicultural Association (DMA) at 91Âé¶¹

The Dental Multicultural Association (DMA) is for all dental students who want to create a more vibrant, rich cultural network during their years in dental school. When we arrive here as D1s, we show up in our matching scrubs and nine-digit student IDs. We move from classroom to classroom as a single unit and we find ourselves talking about dental school ALL the time. We quickly see what makes us all the same, but sometimes we bury away what makes us all different. We have students, faculty and patients from dozens of countries from all over this world on this small campus. It’s important to see one another for our diversity and cultural backgrounds to create an inclusive, well-informed community. It will make us not only better students, but better clinicians.

Emerging Technologies and Techniques Club at 91Âé¶¹

The Emerging Technologies and Techniques Club exists to introduce and explore evidence-based, new, and innovative technologies and techniques related to dentistry. We strive to give all years of dental students at the DCG an idea of what they may encounter once in practice. Our primary focus are on topics in general dentistry, with the potential to expand out and touch on technologies/techniques related to specialties. You will be exposed to novel items and ideas that should help you become a more prepared, knowledgeable, and up-to-date practitioner while still respecting what is taught in school.

Endodontics Club at 91Âé¶¹

The Endodontics Club at 91Âé¶¹ focuses on the branch of dentistry concerned with the morphology, physiology and pathology of the human dental pulp and periradicular tissues. Its study and practiceencompass the basic clinical sciences including biology of the normal pulp, the etiology, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases and injuries of the pulp and associated periradicular conditions. Give a Smile Foundation at 91Âé¶¹

The Give A Smile Foundation was created by students in 2004 and is a non-profit organization that gives back to our community. The purpose of Give A Smile is to promote better oral health in the community by helping motivated underprivileged patients at the AU Dental College of Georgia with a portion of the cost of their dental treatment.

Hispanic Student Dental Association (HSDA) at 91Âé¶¹

The was organized to improve and promote the oral health of Hispanics living in the United States. Other goals include the recruitment and retention of Hispanic dental students, matching students in the Big Brother/Sister program for academic advancement and support, translating for patients who do not speak English, and organizing intra- and extramural activities. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Selective (OMFSS) at 91Âé¶¹

The purpose of the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Selective is to expose dental students to the specialty through direct contact with Oral & Maxillofacial surgeons, faculty, and residents; to learn and to provide information and access to dental students interested in pursuing a career in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery; to increase exposure to the field of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery; and to help with the application process.
